Projects that bring nature to urban areas through one or more of the following categories: environmental stewardship and restoration; parks, trails, and public access; environmental education; urban agriculture/food systems.
Pre-Applications for Program and Capital/Planning projects are currently being accepted with a deadline of November 8, 2022, at 5:00 pm. Complete applications for Program are due February 9, 2023, at 5:00 pm. Complete applications for Capital/Planning are due February 23, 2023, at 5:00 pm.
$1.5 million is available in the current funding cycle (2022). $750,000 is available for Programs with awards ranging from $20,000 – $100,000. $750,000 is available for Capital and Planning Grants, with awards ranging from $40,000 – $250,000.

Recreation and tourism, historic and cultural preservation, or environmental education projects that benefit Delta communities in order to sustain the Delta’s heritage and enhance the unique values of the Delta today.
