Nonpoint Source Pollution (NPS) Control Program – California Department of Water Resources
Who is Eligible
Public agencies, nonprofits, federally recognized Native American Tribes, state agencies, public colleges, federal agencies.
What it Funds
Develop and/or implement management measures for nonpoint source pollutants for bodies of water in the Central Valley region, which include Sacramento/San Joaquin Delta, San Joaquin River, Clear Lake, Sacramento River, and Cache Creek (refer to Section E of the program guidelines on pages 31-32).
When to Apply
The most recent application window closed in December 2021.
Available Funds
$5 million. Individual grants range from $250,000 – $800,000. Planning grants range from $80,000 – $200,000.
