Who is Eligible

Cities, counties, tribes, MPOs, transit agencies, school districts, nonprofits (recreational trails only) located in San Diego County. Applications must have been submitted through the statewide program to be considered for the SANDAG program.

What it Funds

Sidewalks, bike lanes, trails, safe routes to school programs, and plans for walking and bicycling.

When to Apply

The most recent funding cycle closed in September 2018. The application deadline is typically concurrent with the Statewide Active Transportation Program deadlines, which occur every two years. It is anticipated that the next call for applications (Cycle 5) will be announced in Spring 2020.
